Chief’s Son Whisky Cocktails will be a hit with your friends and family over the Summer. We’ve selected a few different whisky cocktails to appeal to sweet and not-so-sweet cocktail drinkers.
Pink Grapefruit Whisky Highball
30ml Tanist
20ml Bickford Pink Grapefruit Cordial
10ml Lemon Juice
Soda
Fill a Highball full of Ice and add whisky, cordial & Juice. Top up with Soda and garnish with an orange wheel.
Elderflower Mojito With A Twist
30ml 900 Standard 45%
10ml Elderflower liqueur or cordial
15ml lemon Juice
5 Mint Leaves
2 Slices of Fresh Ginger
Ginger Beer or Dry Ginger
In a highball glass add 3 mint leaves, ginger & muddle (Crush with a spoon or end of a rolling pin to extract essential oils). The remaining ingredients, fill with ice and top up with ginger beer or Dry Ginger and stir to combine. Garnish with a lemon wheel and the 2 remaining mint leaves.
Whisky-Espresso-Tini
30ml Tanist
30ml of cold Espresso Coffee
10ml Chocolate Liqueur or Chocolate Sauce
10ml Sugar Syrup
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled ¾ with Ice. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to combine and dilute. Into a Martini Glass, double strain with a strainer and sieve to ensure no ice shards are in the drink. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.
To Make Sugar Syrup: Heat equal amounts of water and caster sugar until dissolved.

Build over Ice and garnish with an orange twist.

10ml Cherry liquor
60ml Dark Soda
Build over ice and garnish with a cherry

40ml Chief’s Son Tanist
10ml Port (or PX Sherry)
60ml Long Rays Dark soda
Build over Ice and garnish with an orange wheel
Chiefs Collins (New)
30ml Chief’s Son Tanist
15ml Fino Sherry
20ml Lemon juice
10ml Sugar Syrup (1:1)
30ml Long Rays Pacific Tonic
Shake and strain then top with Tonic, garnish with a lemon wedge and cherry.
Dark Matter
30ml 900 Standard
30ml Hazelnut Orgeaut
15ml Pedro Jimenez
15ml Boston Black Coffee Concentrate
2ml Chocolate Bitters
Shake – Coupette glass
Garnish: Grated dark chocolate
Note: 5ml of sugar can be added depending on level of sweetness in coffee

20ml Disaronno
30ml Lime
15ml Agave Spirit
45ml Blood Orange Juice (Top Up)
Shake – Tumbler/double glass over ice
Garnish: Mint sprig & grated nutmeg
Note: Blood orange can be replaced by Grapefruit juice
