‘Best Australian Single Cask – Single Malt Whisky NAS’

Chief’s Son Distillery was awarded best Australian Single Cask – Single Malt Whisky NAS in the prestigious 2020 World Whiskies Awards held in London. Barrel number 01 of ‘900 Standard’ at 49.50%abv took out the top honours. This is an incredible honor and we are stoked to have won this award not only with our FIRST ever barrel but within 11 months of launching our whisky to the world!

So we entered two entries and walked away with two awards! We were awarded a Silver for our ‘900 Standard’ at 45.00%abv in the Australian Single Malt Whisky NAS category.

There is one thing for sure, Australian produced whisky is absolutely on the rise and holding its own on the world stage, non more so than @sullivanscovewhisky whom most whisky lovers would have heard and know about. .

As a native Victorian I am so proud and pleased to see Stuart and Naomi McIntosh of @chiefssondistillery producing such spectacular whisky!! The level of flavour and character is exceptional for this whisky’s age profile – the Sweet Peat Release 3 ‘Barrel 95’ was the pick of them for me….if I had to choose.

Trust me when I say this small family owned and operated distillery is going places, and will most definitely be collecting some awards and/or medals soon enough. Absolutely delicious!!
